Secret Hitler

Now that we live near civilization, we have been hosting friends a lot! It’s delicious for me, Nick tolerates it because he’s a wonderful partner (he enjoys company too just in smaller doses). Recently, some of our good friends came over and brought a board game – YAY, I LOVE board games! The game is called Secret Hitler and it’s unbelievably fun. Like “order it right now” kind of fun. We played with 8 people, and that number was perfect. We preceded the game with a discussion for the kids about Hitler that was very clear we were in no way glorifying him or diminishing the atrocities committed in WW2. Once you get all that clear – it’s a hoot. It’s a “social deduction game” meaning you secretly get assigned a team – fascist or liberal – and then have to figure out who to trust and who to assassinate. It is a 100% recommend from me – FIVE STARS! I can’t wait to play it again.

Summertime

For us, summer officially starts tomorrow. My kids go to a super cool Agile Learning Center three days a week and today is their last day! I love having the kids home all the time – they bring so much joy and energy to my life. Our break from school is only two months long, and there are so many things I want to cram into our days! I made these cards of fun things to do, and every day we are going to do one. Maybe you will find some things in there you want to try this summer, with or without kids. I mean when was the last time you went roller skating? Or did Tie Dye?!

Collaboration

This week I was nominated for a One Voice Award – which is so awesome all around. The best bit though, is that the project I was nominated for is a commercial for MdBy and it was produced by PrayTell Agency. Why does any of that matter Anne?! PrayTell Agency is one of my favorite companies to work with and follow on social media. They always produce great content and are doing amazing things in the world and in their company. Also, MdBy creates the most beautiful photo books and framed art – I have purchased multiple gorgeous gifts from them. Being nominated for a piece that I loved being a part, of on so many levels, is super delightful.

Any amazing summer time plans?
