Life’s Simple Pleasures
Today, I have just one thing to share. Yet it’s countless. It’s life’s simple pleasures.
A teacher of mine highlighted this for me recently. She encouraged me to focus my attention on life’s subtle joys. Let me tell you, this just might be the best medicine I ever experienced. Life’s. Simple. Pleasures.
- A canopy of stars
- A green acorn
- The tiny blond hairs on my daughters legs
- Steam rising from my coffee in the darkness of the morning
- Cool water after a long walk
- Laughter that brings tears
- Dimples
- Walking barefoot outside
- Love notes
- A dance of butterflies
- The ache and tremor of hard worked muscles
- Soft Sheets
I could continue listing them all day. Focusing my attention on life’s simple pleasures over the last couple of days has filled my heart, my soul, my tank. It grounds me in love and happiness. It stokes the fire of my creativity. It makes me feel unbelievably nourished. It is a mighty gift, always available, wherever we are.
What simple pleasures have appeared for you lately?
Do you make time for life’s simple pleasures to reveal themselves to you?
Be happy for this moment. This moment is your life.” – Omar Khayyam
